Katie Bottomley
CEO & Excutive Director
Katie Bottomley is a singer-songwriter living in Los Angeles with her husband and two little black dogs. With a degree in musical theatre, she is also pursuing a second degree in biological sciences. She has performed in several regional theatre productions, as well TV and commercials.

Katie has been teaching voice, piano, and songwriting for almost a decade. Working on her third album, she is a well established artist with a top-notch band that plays locally around California. Through her music, she hopes to help spread feminism and fight for women’s rights around the world. She also aspires to one day work alongside conservationists and biologists to help keep our ocean ecosystems alive.

Piper Gillin
Artistic Director
After transplanting from the Pacific Northwest, Piper graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.A. in Theatre. She has a background in musical theatre and competitive dance, and has studied improv with The Second City and Groundlings. Primarily a voiceover artist, Piper’s pipes can be heard on a variety of platforms within the performance industry. She’s worked with kids for many years teaching improv, musical theatre, voiceover, and audition prep. In her free time she enjoys being outdoors and visiting friends and family.

Joshua Warner
Business Manager
Joshua holds a Master of Education in Elementary Education and a Master of Science in Business Design and Innovation, a unique combination that allows them to bring both creativity and strategic thinking to their work in education.
As Business Manager of TKLA, they blend a passion for learning with extensive experience in program development and youth engagement. Their role involves designing and managing dynamic theater-based programs that support student growth, confidence, and collaboration.

With over ten years of experience working with children in after-school and summer camp settings, Joshua has developed a deep understanding of how to create enriching, student-centered environments. Their background in innovation adds a fresh perspective to their teaching approach, emphasizing problem-solving, design thinking, and critical thinking skills that prepare students for success in and beyond the classroom.

Outside of work, Joshua is an avid runner, coffee enthusiast, and long-time Los Angeles resident with strong roots in Chicago. They are committed to lifelong learning and staying at the forefront of educational best practices.
